Environmentally Friendly Products
The Harvest Collection Advantage
Genpak now offers a line of Environmentally Friendly Products called the Harvest Collection. These products are designed to be disposed of in a commercially run composting facility where temperatures and moisture levels are monitored to achieve complete biodegradation within 60 to 180 days. The Harvest Collection will also biodegrade in a standard landfill, but at a longer rate of time.
All Harvest Collection products meet ASTM standards for compostability and carry the stamp of approval from the Biodegradable Products Institute.
Although the Harvest Collection products are not intended for use in the microwave, or with hot foods, they may be used for cold and warm food applications up to 130 F. Available products are;
