Diamond Match was formed in 1881 from a number of the largest stick or wooden match producers in the United States. Book matches started being produced in 1895. There were plants in many parts of the U.S. from coast to coast.
In 1995, Diamond purchased Forster Inc., located in Wilton, Maine. This acquisition benefitted Diamond by providing plastic cutlery, clothespin production, and additional toothpick capacity.
Over the years, Diamond Brands has diversified its product line to include production of stick matches, corn dog sticks, ice cream sticks, specialized applicator sticks, plastic cutlery, clothespins, firestarters for barbecues and campfires, skill and craft sticks and various toothpicks.
Diamond Brands goal is to produce quality products which are safe, sanitary, and convenient to use. We are known for our dependable quality and have traditionally been an innovator in our product lines. Because of this, Diamond Brands is the #1 brand in all major product lines.
